David and Lee, the owners, are incredible people who care about the needs of their employees. There are a variety of locations and possible work hours that can accommodate most students. The lifeguards, for the most part, are young and like to have fun, which can make the longer shifts more bearable. Also, the pay is competitive!

Starting at an empty pool can be life-draining, but when it’s busy the shifts fly by.

Great for a summer job. Hours are decent, reasonable, and flexible. Coworkers are friendly and fun to work with.

Shifts are usually downright boring. You find yourself hoping something goes wrong so that you have something to do. Patrons are quick to complain: if you enforce the pool rules you're "on a power trip" but if you don't you're "sitting around doing nothing."
