Pros
Great fast pace environment. While there I was able to work on the largest commercial jobs in the Chicago area. The experience working alongside the smartest geotechnical engineers was awesome!
Cons
Long hours, low pay and consulting environment. Just like a law firm you need to stay billable in 15 minute increments. Non billable work is frowned upon even if you are a manager. Also a common side effect with working on the largest construction jobs in Chicago is long hours.
