Disorganized and Lean to an Extreme - Anonymous employee STERIS Employee Review

Pay is very low and as a consequence the company does not attract talented employees. Most are under qualified and poorly trained. The company's has cut its workforce so drastically that quality suffers. Cutting corners is routine and employees are pressured to ignore quality and safety problems. This is evidenced by the quality problems with the STERIS 1 and the resulting consent decree with the FDA earlier this year. Their excellent safety record is just a facade because employees are pressured to refrain from reporting injuries.
