Involvement in writing one of the biggest tests on Japan, low pressure working environment for item writers, flexible hours, chance to refine your writing skills and knowledge of test creation
Cons
Bit boring; item writers can be left alone for hours at a time and you may feel like an outsider. Difficult to keep coming up with suitable topics. High security is understandable but you have to be careful what you say about your work outside the office.
