Pros

There's so much opportunity to develop your professional skills, and coupled with unwavering support from management, the potential to grow here is limitless. You're also surrounded by some of the most creative, artistic, and empathetic people who will go out of their way to make sure you feel included in the company.

Cons

Internal employee cultural/development programs (employee resource groups, learning and development, etc.) are quite rare due to the size and stage of the company.

Thank you so much for your feedback and very much appreciate that you feel the potential to grow here is limitless (I personally agree too!)! I really like and appreciate your specific callout about empathy, because the value of empathy is one I find important to uphold at any level within an organization. I definitely take accountability for the internal employee cultural/development programs not being full-fledged and fully up and running at this point! That is something I am hoping to be able to spend more time building out as we continue to grow and add more resources. It is definitely a super important area of opportunity for us! Lastly, I 100% agree about your point of staying cognizant in terms of hiring for diversity and ensuring we are reflecting the community we aim to serve! I will also take this with me to keep hiring managers accountable as we go through the hiring process. Thank you! Sincerely, Vina Director, People and Talent Acquisition

Pros

* Hard Working: This is the hardest working team I've been a part of: they do incredible work in tight deadlines, but still manage to maintain work/life balance (most of the time). * Culture of Feedback: Leadership has worked really hard to make regular feedback a part of our culture; coworkers have a high degree of respect for one another which makes feedback conversations easier. * Opportunity: This is a company where you can easily have your voice heard and make direct impact into our product and member experience. * Company Culture: Most of the company went remote for all of 2020, but Leadership, our Office Manager, and People Team prioritized company culture: they work really hard to help us feel connected with regular Zoom events and dedicated time to socialize with new team members. * Leadership: Our company founders actually lead by example and have instilled values across all facets of the company that help us all work better. STEEZY Leadership is a breath of fresh air compared to many corporate and startup leaders. * STEEZY is a cool company: This is a cool product with a devoted, passionate community, and a unicorn team working to make it even better.

Cons

STEEZY is still an early stage startup, and leadership is fiscally responsible which is a good thing, but also means you may find yourself without all of the tools you're used to working with. There's no "blank check" to purchase tools/services (and headcount), but leadership is also very reasonable if you are able to contextualize the value of the investment. This is a young company so priorities may shift quickly to match demand.

Thank you so much for this detailed and well thought out review! I'm really happy you called out the culture of feedback - this is super important to Evan, Connor, and myself, and I'm glad you find value in it as well! It has most definitely been a tough year to ensure everyone feels connected despite most of us being remote, so I also appreciate the mention about prioritizing company culture! To your point about a blank check, I agree that as a start-up we have to be cognizant of where we allocate our budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility, hopefully as we scale, we can continue to develop more flexibility in this area so that teams can have the necessary tools (and headcount)! Sincerely, Vina Director, People and Talent Acquisition
