Pros

Benefits are good; 120 hours of vacation to start, full healthcare coverage, 401k.

Cons

Your direct supervisor means everything at SSOE. Get stuck with a "less-than-competent" one -- like I did -- and days will be spent spinning your wheels, with no feedback. My supervisor literally hired people with no prior experience -- because he knew them. Upper Management is trying to 'cut the fat', which I believe is a good thing (My manager would make an excellent future addition to the unemployment rolls. (He had plenty of his own, I should add) My first 4-5 months had layoffs occurring every 1-2 weeks. At risk groups should be made aware months beforehand, so employees can get something else in-place ahead of time.

Cons

No bereavement time off for interns and part-time employees, but supportive managers and employee support and resources available

A few strong leaders kept on doing their best to evolve.

Cons

Reactive and short-term leadership, lack of transparency in decision-making, DEI commitment that doesn't survive scrutiny at the leadership level, and a communication culture that defaults to lack of transparency over honesty.
