      Great Company for Mormons - Senior Engineer SRP Employee Review

      Pros

      Really happy that SRP is hiring mostly mormons to keep the mormon community tight knit! They recently removed the need for bachelors degrees so it allows for more people to be able to apply to be in management, engineers, and analysts! All are welcome. Will be referring my family in as well for the great benefits and pension.

      Cons

      The demographic is predominantly white and mormon so some individuals with a different background may not fit in with the culture at work. Saw a few minorities let go due to different background and not fitting in.

      Pros

      SRP gave me stability, experience, and the chance to build real skills. I had positive experiences there, and I’m grateful for parts of it. But I’m also realizing that the environment doesn’t always operate from a positive or growth-minded place, and I have to be honest about what that has cost me

      The con is not that SRP is a bad place. The con is that it can give you stability and experience, but not always a clear or fair feeling of movement. You can give a lot, build a lot, and still feel like you’re waiting for someone to finally see it
