Pros

Great work place for cycling or outdoor enthusiasts. The company culture encourages employees to use the products and embrace the brand identities. On the surface there is a good "team" centric vibe across the company.

Cons

Managers may spend a little too much energy on "CYA" activities and lose sight of the big picture goal (turn a profit). General aversion to setting hard-set goals and holding employees accountable for reaching predetermined goals. General aversion to terminating or repurposing employees that aren't pulling their weight.

Pros

In general, SRAM is very easy going and it's an environment that isn't confrontational or competitive. Leadership is focused on employees and is very approachable. I feel a lot of security in my job and that I'd have a job here forever if I choose to stay. There's a lot of professional autonomy.

Cons

For being a larger company, there's no structure for teaching employees how to do a job or process. They are trying to create some structure, but most processes are half-baked and not detailed enough to actually do it correctly. Leadership is really nice, but is lacking the "leadership" qualities that facilitate departments sharing information, best practices and growth. If I want to grow and learn, I need to seek out my own training.
