Pros
ISO 9001, Friendly working atmosphere. Close collaboration between Engineering and Production floor operations. Typical German Quality Control required machining a superior product and those standards improved pride in workmanship. Also allowed for innovative solution's to blossom from in house
Cons
Very small operation at time, complete with growing pains. Machine support was sometimes at best unreliable
