Pros

You won't find a team that has your back more than the team here at SPARK, and the kind of trust and collaboration that is possible because of this specific aspect of the culture is phenomenal. Leadership here does more than encourage growth, they genuinely support you in that growth, and help identify pathways and opportunities to ensure you can realize the personal and professional goals you set out to achieve. Lastly, this entire agency team is committed to self-reflection, and capturing learnings from every single experience in order to help individuals and the whole team improve wherever possible. As a result, you'll never operate from a place of fear here - learning and improving is an agency-wide endeavor and the culture that fosters is one where ideas are supported and mistakes breed experience, not harsh repercussions.

Cons

We were always a small team, and that means there are times when bandwidth is stretched to the edges. This isn't unique to SPARK, but it's good to be prepared for the ebbs and flows of high volume and a fast pace. The good news is that the entire leadership team here is extremely hands-on to help alleviate bandwidth issues before they become actual issues which is not something you get at every agency out there.

Pros

Diverse projects but this is largely due to the nature of agency settings and is not necessarily unique to SPARK.

Cons

Office politics is putting it lightly... Weaponized performance reviews and aggressive power dynamics make SPARK a highly toxic, emotionally abusive working environment. Turnover is rampant and clients are constantly complaining and eventually leaving, and justifiably so. They make promises they can't deliver on and make their well-meaning, hardworking employees lower on ladder their scapegoats. And even worse, when you work 60-70+ hour weeks, they still maintain that you're not doing enough, even going so far as to say "if you're not working 100 hour weeks, what are you even doing?" I wish I was kidding. Zero process. Zero support. Do not apply here if you value your mental health.
