Pros
Span is a small team of driven, brilliant people who all believe in the mission of the company. Everyone is really great at collaborating to solve problems, and working together to move the company forward. There aren't big egos at Span (that I've seen anyway), if the job needs to get done, odds are more than one person will volunteer to help, even if that task is not within the formal job description. The team has put a real focus in maintaining company culture even through COVID, with virtual lunches, lunch and learns, happy hours, and virtual coffees. The benefits are not as good as a larger company, but is better than most early stage start-ups. The company is growing and even with that growth has a solid runway.
Cons
This is a small start up, so there are lots of processes that are undefined/undocumented, but there are lots of opportunities to create processes! Benefits are not that of a larger company, but are better than many early stage start-ups. You have to be willing to roll up your sleeves!
