Pros

Work from home. Some managers are good people.

Cons

Job is not as advertised. Pay is terrible and not what's promised in the interview. Commission is largely based on attendence and sometimes you're sick or have to take your kid(s) to the Doctor and can lose a month's work of hard work for missing 5% of scheduled monthly hours. Overtime is almost never offerred. There is no real communication between departments or even between you and your supervisor. There have been multiple paychecks that were wrong (which has been a problem before I started) and they aren't resolved for an entire month. The job itself is so easy it's actually a problem because it's tedious. I can go on, but I will stop there.

you lose money when you advance. warranty specialist is repetitive and its extremely hard to work in a role where you know your misleading people as if your conning people who need the most to buy something that you know your hiding key details about. I personally didnt do well at it. When a grown person tells me NO THEY DO NOT WANT THE APPLIANCE CARE PLAN, i say OKAY! WELL ILL SAVE THIS QUOTE TO YOUR FILE FOR 30 DAYS IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND JUST GIVE US A CALL BACK. needless to say, i advanced to retention specialist quickly. when you advance - you lose your bonus which isnt very much but still, your taking on the ugliest part of the company with the angriest customers who are realizing those details of the plan they purchaced. and when the customer calls MAD AS CAN BE, your still expected to ask them if they would like to purchase the appliance care plan for their other appliances.
