Pros

The architect that I worked with was extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with. Same for their graphic designer.

Cons

Where to begin? I was lied to during the interview process to get me on board. When I brought up the promises made to me during the interview process, I was told in no uncertain terms that they wouldn't be fulfilled. I was given old, underpowered, buggy hardware to work on, and when I mentioned it on numerous occasions in an attempt to get hardware that wouldn't cause me daily downtime, nothing was ever done. They claim to be doing Agile development, but do it about as wrongly as it's possible to do it. The agile development software that they use is very out of date, and not used correctly, which creates a great deal of confusion, wasted time, and frustration for developers. Certain people in management are constantly dismissive well beyond the point of rudeness when developers approach him in order to try to gain a better understanding of client needs, which are rarely conveyed clearly when they are conveyed at all. QA was told by management on multiple occasions to just pass stories that were known not to come close to meeting their acceptance criteria, so that velocity would be high. If you are ill, you must either come in, so as to needlessly expose all of your colleagues to your illness (or conversely, be exposed to someone else's illness, if someone else on your team is ill), or take the day off. You aren't permitted to work from home while ill, regardless of deadlines, or whether others on your team will be hindered by your lost time. After having been lied to during the interview process, and having lost all trust and confidence in the management team through several months' interaction with them, I saw a review here that said the following: "Another co-worker put in his two weeks notice and they immediately fired him" (The review is titled: "They're trying but it's not enough."). Fearing the same would happen to me, I ended up doing something that I have never done before. I left without notice. I hated to do it, but I simply could not trust anyone there after the experience that I had. When I did leave, I had to fight to get my last check, and it took nearly 3 months for me to receive it. I have been working in IT for around 10 years, and I have never had an experience like this before. It was, in all ways, bizarre and frustrating.

Pros

As a Software Engineer, I’ve had the privilege of working with a talented and collaborative team, where innovation and creativity are strongly encouraged. The company offers numerous opportunities to work on exciting projects using cutting-edge technologies, which keeps the work dynamic and rewarding. Flexibility is another highlight, with supportive policies for remote work and adaptable work hours, helping to maintain a great work-life balance. The benefits package is exceptional, including comprehensive health insurance, 401k matching, and generous paid time off, which really contributes to employee well-being. The company also offers opportunities for professional growth through bench projects and a variety of online courses, making it easy to expand skill sets and explore new technologies. Management is transparent and clear in their communication, ensuring that the company’s goals and direction are well understood. I appreciate the leadership’s dedication to fostering an inclusive culture, providing growth opportunities, and supporting innovation. Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience and look forward to continuing to contribute to this incredible team.

Pros

Met some great people. Worked with some great tech. Learned. Grew.

Cons

The moment they didn't need me, I got layed off. No warning. No thanks for having you. No way to go working hard for us for years. Just a you're out and cut all my comms. Couldnt even get a reference after years of dedicated service. Hurts the most that people I thought were friends just turn their back the moment things get difficult. I get business but not even saying goodbye? Just felt cold blooded. I loved that company. I gave it my all. Also pretty sure they screwed me on my last check. Tried to send comms but they just ignore me. Cold shoulder. Chris Drake and Thayer were great to work with. If you get a chance to work with either of them take it. Really wish I got to say goodbye to them.
