Better to avoid - Field Specialist SLB Employee Review

Actually the only industry where the longer you work the less you make and often loss of benefits. Work life balance is non existent. you will be away from home 90% of the time. Been with the company over 15yrs and I have never seen morale this bad including field and office staff. Staff is treated as a liability, their goal is to reduce head count as much as possible and in my case have 2 people doing a 4 man job, it will only get worse. If starting out I would avoid the industry completely, but if you are determined to enter, choose a small company that you can grow with and feel connected.
