Pros

1. Decent salary and benefits. 2. Lots of technical experts around to learn from. 3. Respected (although often not liked by clients) brand name.

Cons

Too many to list here but the main ones are: 1. Very top-heavy company. No room for creativity, thinking outside the box, or challenging the status quo. 'Do as we say or else' type of dictatorship. 2. If you're not constantly contributing to the bottom line in some way, you're gone. Nothing else matters here but huge profits. 3. As a result of #1-2 above, expect most middle/senior management (as well as some long-time regular employees) to fit the classic 'corporate psychopath' profile who are only concerned with covering their own rears and looking like stars to their management. Most management here in general seems to lack basic social skills and only tends to see their staff as walking dollar signs rather than as human beings. 4. As a result of #1-3 above, the working environment is super-toxic to the point of people actually ducking their heads down at their cubicles when their manager walks past them. This toxicity becomes infinitely worse when the oil price is in a slump, as is the case now. 5. As a result of #1-4 above, morale is non-existent, or foul at best, with no attempt by anyone whatsoever to remedy the situation. Conclusion: Don't bother working here unless you're looking to turn into a corporate psychopath yourself.
