Pros

The good, benefits are great. Work related expenditures are fully paid “via AMEX” reap travel benefits and if you are into travel you will definitely have that management is very approachable.

Cons

The bad, although the position is pitched as M-F with optional weekends that is indeed not the case. I have been booked to travel on a Sunday without a single phone call. You will not know where you will have to go next week til about 4:30pm on a Friday. They say you are a Field Service Technician however this name is subjective, you are more like an installation technician as their products are fairly robust. If you like troubleshooting, this position is not for you. Scheduling and project management couldn’t be further disconnected from reality, which is the case with most Field roles unfortunately at Sick this is magnified x10. You will and the field service team will be left to pick up the pieces due to botched project management. You are expected to continuously provide reports even though the PM does not read them, only to call you a week later about some minute detail written out clearly in your report.

Pros

Good work life balance, reliable co workers, and quality products

Cons

Pay could be better. Not as much merit-based incentive/reward structure as many other tech/engineering companies

Pros

Good benefits and the non-executives are good people. You’ll learn a lot in a couple of years so you won’t be bored.

Cons

Non-agile company. Internal processes keep changing/adding up making it the most non-efficient company I’ve worked for. Marching orders coming from Germany and they keep removing support engineers as they want more sales people.
