Pros
- Coworkers are mostly great - Work/Life balance is good for the most part. - Recently relaunched site with stronger focus on modern design/development. - Current lead developers of new site are great mentors. - Office amenities, fridge/cupboards are typically well stocked.
Cons
- Salary is average, if not slightly below industry standard - Legacy database/site are a nightmare. - Legacy developer is also a nightmare, often antagonistic. - Management's expectations/requirements often a moving goalpost, contradictory. - Post-It Note project management and lack of scope. - Crunch times can be brutal around big releases, cause for burnout. - Poor/lack of communication between departments.
