Pros

Sorenson Impact Center treats its Student Fellows as if they were full-time employees. They allow students to lead on projects and they trust the quality of work that we produce. The staff also takes mentorship very seriously and is dedicated to helping each individual Student Fellow grow professionally and personally. Working at Sorenson is more than just a 9-5. The projects you work on are meaningful and impact real people's lives. If you care about social impact and are passionate about the work then there is a place for you at Sorenson.

Cons

Not trying to be biassed but I honestly don't really have anything bad to say.

Pros

You learn a tremendous amount about venture capital and social impact bonds, and get to pitch real deals to Jim Sorenson and his investment board.

Cons

Management is constantly reshuffling, sometimes they pay you, sometimes they don't. There can be very long delays when they do pay you. Also, management hasn't done a great job trying to retain its student talent, so there's a large brain drain going on right now.
