Pros
Nothing other than a resume filler. You will have a job that says project engineer but little to show for it.
Cons
Extremely poor pay tied to clients. As a project engineer, you don’t learn much unless you come in on the weekends for special projects where Oregon employees might come in to work. You are expected to drive very far in your personal vehicle all the time and only get compensated for mileage. Some times you have to drive for 6 hours to get to a project site and if the hotels in the area are too expensive relative to the cost of mileage, you will be expected to drive the distance every day instead.
