Pros

SES has talented employees, and a genuinely interesting industry. Many individual contributors care deeply and continue to deliver despite the organization’s leadership and culture challenges.

Cons

If you’re evaluating SES as an employer, spend time reading executive LinkedIn posts, town hall messaging, and corporate communications. Then ask current employees whether their day-to-day experience matches those messages. The answer to that question will tell you far more about the company than any marketing campaign ever could.

Pros

Still employed through many rounds of layoffs. Many options to learn with continuous technology changes. Opportunities to do other people's work for them. Opportunity for government bail out in the form of 5G spectrum sale.

Cons

The only employment opportunities are in India. Starting to tip the scales of diversity one direction. Employees are a number to the CEO. He only cares about himself and his bonus. There is no direction from upper management making lower management make decisions without properly validating integration with other stakeholders. No budget to integrate networks between legacy companies. It appears as though SES will hobble on the remaining infrastructure and employees until the next merger/buyout.
