Pros

While there are some nice 'things' at SEQTA, like fresh fruit delivered 2 times a week, the playground/rec facility, free staff massages etc, the best thing is the people. People are super generous, hard working, always there to help each other our (both with work and personal stuff) and there is just an amazing sense of camaraderie - it's like a functional family. SEQTA's values are amazing and people live them out every day. The 'eighth' value, '...and we believe in unicorns' not only shows that it is a fun place to work, but has a serious side...that we want to achieve things, see things in the future that are just a bit out of the realm of the reality of now. I do love coming to work everyday, and seeing my colleagues, all of whom I count as friends.

Cons

SEQTA is in Joondalup, which for me is great, but for others it is a bit of a hike, though the train is only a short walk away. But there are so many places to eat, get coffee, gyms etc nearby - it is practically a CBD location. And they do expect people to actually do work :-)...there's not a lot of place for coasters and selfishness here.

Pros

Great people and culture. Most of the tech stack we work on here is very modern. High focus on customer service. Nice office and great location if you don't like the bustle of the city. Personally, my career has progressed throughout the years here at SEQTA, and if you're looking for a place that really treats their employees right than look no further. I've personally had some health issues over the years and had to take a lot of time off for them, but it never had any negative impact on my career. As a small company there is limited room for advancement it is true, but in saying that I've had management bend over backward for me to put me in a place I'm truly happy to work. If you're not enjoying your place at SEQTA they are definitely open and accommodating. As other reviews have mentioned the culture here is great. If you're not into lighthearted fun like some other reviewers you're probably going to hate it I guess, but I enjoy what it represents -- the ability to speak your mind and be heard, and have a joke and not be taken too seriously.

Cons

Limited ability to work from home if you live in Perth. Slightly limited room for advancement as mentioned, but offset by what I wrote in the pros.

Pros

We are so well looked after at SEQTA. There are opportunities for personal and professional development. Management have Health and wellbeing as a high priority, with company-endorsed participation in community fun-runs and mental health training, the provision of vaccinations, financial health advice and a constant supply of fresh fruit just some examples. Across gender, ethnicity, religion, life experience and even down to your milk preference, diversity is valued and respected. People are cared for by the company and SEQTA genuinely has our best interests at heart. We celebrate both collective success and personal milestones. That people are willing to help one another out beyond the bounds of the 9-5, whether it be looking after someone's dog while they are on leave or giving a lift to the mechanic after work, I think is a great reflection of the company's culture.

Cons

The only major con is a literal one - the air-con! Our Perth office has an ongoing battle with keeping the temperature in check. But even then, the company is always willing to bring in fans/heaters and continues to work to find a solution!
