Great place to work with smart people

Great work environment and co-workers at my former job location. SEMHA will stick by their employees but is forced by the government to perform actions against SEMHA's core employment beliefs.

Politics in the Michigan State government which treated SEMHA and its employees like the "evil contractor" (SEMHA was created by the state to manage grant-funded programs and to reduce legacy costs) State forced out many good people. The state has a major problem dealing with people of color in the organization and constantly goes out of its way to make the environment difficult.
