Extremely poor leadership that refuses to look in the mirror - Anonymous employee SEIU Local 221 Employee Review

In less than a year a half dozen people left and many slots were never filled again. Departments had no head and it was all run by the very incompetent political director who is widely known to be terrible. Even with new leadership in the union theyre crippled by relying on him and he drives people away. He is known to be petty and self involved and because there is no one else left there the organization has gone down hill. Having to work closely with him in my role was a nightmare and extremely stressful. People would rather leave and not have a job at all than work for 221.
