Pros
Almost nothing but some nice colleagues
Cons
A very traditional Japanese company culture. There is a strong emphasis on hierarchy, process, and conformity, often at the expense of efficiency and results. Employees spend a significant amount of time on reporting, meetings, and navigating unwritten rules. Foreign employees may find it difficult to adapt, as inclusion and diversity are not always priorities. Management practices can feel outdated, and visibility (such as staying late in the office) is sometimes valued more than actual output and performance.
