Pros
While not many are left, working with the employees that have worked with the company since the beginning is great. They were all apart of the original culture of SEG that has since passed. The company offers fun perks, like weekly ice cream and the occasional ice cream truck.
Cons
One downside is that the company culture is not what it once was. There is noticeable favoritism, and opportunities for growth can feel limited unless you are part of a select group. Employees are often overloaded with work, leaving you feeling stretched thin and responsible for more than is realistically manageable. The sales department has significant influence over many company decisions, and some senior leaders frequently change direction on processes, creating confusion and inconsistency. It can also feel as though every department believes they know your job better than you do, regardless of your experience, expertise, or knowledge in your field. Little to no raise opportunities but the company is quick to “dry promote” employees expecting them to take on new roles or responsibilities without compensation. A lot of negative gossip and general negativity in the work place.
