Pros
They live their mission. They're flexible and appear to actually care about the employer. The flexibility is seen in hours, PTO, child care, and day to day work. I appreciated the autonomy in my work. They have great benefits by paying your deductible for most health needs. HR advocates for EAP and disability when appropriate. If you're interested in extra training- you have the time, space, and encouragement to get it here.
Cons
Many of those in mgmt are new to the role. Process Hell: they have so many new systems without removing the old systems. They have no formal review from the bottom up. I am also "voluntold" a lot, upper mgmt will ask for things to be done such as a training or new procedure creation that is not related to your every day work. I've experienced shame as a motivator by upper mgmt. This is not often and not across the board for all upper mgmt.
