Not just another company - Paraprofessional SDC CPAs Employee Review

This is where my interest lies. I love my job and the challenge of finding the answers we need. I love a puzzle so being able to do this every day makes me happy.

There is not one for me

Beyond saying good morning to your co-workers, you are expected to say nothing else to anyone unless it's work related (and even that you need to be careful; you must be quick and to the point). Initiative is greatly frowned upon, as there are a multitude of "protocols" that aren't explicit or consistent on a regular basis. Everything you do will be micromanaged, from sending emails, when you can take your lunch, and clocking in and out to go to the bathroom. They pay close attention to the frequency and the amount of time that you spend in the bathroom. The review process felt more like a platform to criticize and belittle you. It felt more personal than it did professional especially when the final word is them telling you need to "grow a backbone". It's greatly frowned upon to establish or create friendships outside the workplace. The owner appears racially insensitive. She thrives on degrading and belittling you and uses humiliation as way to highlight your mistakes. Since working here, I've seen 15 different people come and go. The turnover at this job is high to say the very least. It will drain you in more ways than one. I truly would not wish this job on my worst enemy. Please heed my warning and avoid this place.
