Pros

When it comes to SCI, having a job here is better than being unemployed or flipping burgers. The pay is somewhat reasonable, but on the low level. Employees are entitled to some benefits which can be beneficial to those just out of school or single parents. In addition to time off, the company has always been very easy to work with concerning time off and making up missed hours. The dress code varies depending on where exactly within the company you work for, but is generally business casual.

Cons

SCI is a contracting company and each month that passes you grow closer to uncertainty and the end of a contract. This can be very tough, especially if you are one of the many people that live paycheck to paycheck. SCI management (at all levels) does a poor job of communicating anything to the low level employees, which often leaves you wondering if they even care. Benefits have been cut nearly every year as the company looks to "be more competitive in the work force." The company does not pay for or provide any real technical training to help you improve and the policy towards educational reimbursement is not in favor of the employees. It is very difficult to move to another position within the company, and even more difficult to move upwards.
