Pros
Good pay, decent benefits, decent employer match 401k, decent company discounts available with participating businesses. Work less then half the year. Easy going atmosphere.
Cons
Production schedule is rough on families. Long 12 hr +20 min. (10 min. before and after) shifts. Production conditions are hot, with risks involving oil, fire, and broken glass. Vacation days are dictated during plant shutdowns. Mandated work every other weekend. Only 4 personal days + 2 floating holidays to start (see mandatory vacations), Takes 5 year increments to earn extra vacation days.
