There are many areas for improvement if one is empowered to affect change. Most of the employees at SCAN are committed to the mission and the organization is highly regarded by its senior members.
Cons
The organizational culture encourages consensus decision making which puts timely achievement of goals and deliverables at risk. SCAN is slow to implement changes to enhance workplace productivity and slow to adapt to change. "Speaking up" is one of the five basic principles at SCAN, but there are limited opportunities for employees to share concerns, and propose creative solutions
