Pros

This company has multiple surgery centers across the US, and even multiple locations within the state. So if you are ever looking to move, it can make for an easy transfer...we have a few employees that were easily hired from SCA facilities in other states. Also, the SCA centers within our area work together and often "trade employees" for the day if census is low for one of the centers. If you have complaints and have gone to your administrator without results, they have an "anonymous" hotline for complaints. (see con....)

Cons

Most of the employees at my center called the "anonymous" employee complaint hotline to voice concerns about our administrator. Quotations are placed because based on our administrator's comments to certain individuals, she knew who complained and what our complaints were. SCA sent a lady from HR out to our center to talk to each of us individually to investigate these complaints. Nothing ever happened. I heard that SCA agreed with the center, but because our administrator was friends with one of the "higher ups" in SCA (he got her the job), nothing was going to be done..and I heard this from a reputable source...not just gossip. SCA's lack of action has ultimately caused the center to lose a lot of really great employees. They knew that was a potential consequence and they still did nothing...making us believe they do not care about their centers and employees. Now maybe they had a very valid reason for lack of action, but how would we know? They never communicated that to us.
