Pros
I liked the manager that hired me, and we have both moved on to other opportunities and kept in touch. The projects I was given were interesting and rewarding. I liked working with the store managers at retail, showing them how our work was benefiting them and helping them increase sales.
Cons
Upper management was a clown car. Everybody, from C-level execs all the way on down to field merchandisers, was overworked and underpaid. At the time, all the field level merchandisers were temps hired through a service. No benefits were conferred, it was strictly a paycheck, and in terms of talent, they got what the paid for. My understanding is that everyone is a W-2 employee now, so perhaps things are better than they were. I was nominally considered for advancement into a management role, but my candidacy was never really taken seriously.
