Pros

This job is part time, even though we are on a contract with Kroger, it's fun if you like merchandising, laid back...at times, but it can be busy go go go! Mainly good people to work with.

Cons

I know I wrote pros, but honestly if you want a merchandising job, go elsewhere!!!! Yes, it's part time. You could have anywhere from 4 hrs one week to 18-32 the next to 40+ hours. You're considered "part-time" working full time hours (mostly) with NO benefits!!! Drive long distances with no gas mileage reimbursement. Communication is lacking. Our contract is on the line and they won't even mention the word contract because they want to keep the people as long as they can and if the contract just happens to fall through, then good luck to you finding another job. This doesn't cover all bills, barely rent. I enjoy this job, just NOT this company. It's alllll lies and tell you what you want to hear, but no follow through. When I was making $11.50 WITH PLENTY of experience, they hired someone in at $12.00 with NO experience! I had to train them thinking they were at 11 an hour. You cap out at $13/hr unless you work in Seattle area, then you get $15, but ONLY when you're in the Seattle area! We have black out periods, like this Labor Day weekend... We usually work M-Th, 5/5:30am - 2:30 pm! MUST be out at 2:30. On blackouts, this holiday, we worked M/T; 5/5:30-2:30 and W; 5/5:30-10 am. Had to be out by 10 am and don't start back until Tuesday. They don't tell you that Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, you're off pretty much 6 wks and can claim unemployment (which they won't admit either because SAS won't fight unemployment) If you're retired and want a little extra money or just want a little part time job, then this is it for you. Just make sure you know what you're getting into with this company before you accept the position!

Pros

Weekends off, you can take off anytime you want. You just need to let them know before the schedule is made.

Cons

Don't use the open door policy or contact h.r. They will retaliate and schedule you off more then the other members on the team. Give you easy projects so you only get 5 hours or less a day. I guess they don't know that you can pull up your tax information to prove how much your hours have been cut. Seniority means nothing. The schedule usually comes out just a few days before the new wave. Your email will be filled with diversity and inclusion emails.
