Pros

No dress code. So, that's cool, I guess. I also did enjoy my coworkers. Misery sure has a way of bringing people together!

Cons

The only way this company has any positive reviews must be due to the CEO writing them himself. SAMA Labs thrives on hiring whoever stumbles through the door (typically a recent college graduate who has no idea what it's like to work at a competent company), "trains" them by sitting them in front of Facebook Blueprint for three days, proceeds to set them up for failure by giving them an unmanageable workload, underpays them, and then micro-manages them until they inevitably quit. During my time there as a Marketing Specialist or whatever we were called, at least four other Marketers gave their notice, with one quitting on-the-spot because the insane workload was giving him anxiety attacks. You are expected to provide your own laptop and are not allowed to leave work until you "check out" with a manager, essentially sitting down with them and tediously listing off all the tasks you completed that day. Though the hours, on paper, were 9 am. to 6 p.m., Marketers often didn't leave until 7 or 7:30 p.m. and were expected to keep working until the powers-that-be granted them permission to leave. Who needs work-life balance, am I right? During my interview, I was informed that I would be expected to briefly "check-in" on Saturdays, which downplayed the reality - Marketers were expected to work for at least five hours on Saturdays too. What a fun surprise! The CEO, granted, is highly knowledgeable in the field of digital marketing. However, he seems to have the mindset that because he is happy to work 24/7, his employees should do so as well. Additionally, his knowledge, unfortunately, comes with a heaping side of arrogance, no concept of efficient people management, and a tendency to yell at employees when he's upset. How great for morale! If you've made it this far in my review, it should be clear that I abhorred working for this company, so I guess you can take my words with a grain of salt. One thing is for sure, though - working at SAMA Labs was the most stressful, anxiety-inducing job I've ever had. I learned nothing. I retained nothing. I still have no clear idea of what the company does as they promise clients the world but fail to follow through with a coherent plan. My time there isn't even on my resume. My advice? If you're considering joining SAMA Labs, just don't. You can easily find another position at a different marketing company that will compensate you for what you're worth, give you experience you can actually use to further your career, and won't demand you be on the clock well past closing time. In short? Don't bother with SAMA Labs.

Pros

SAMA Labs is a great place to work for and work out. Since it is remote, you get the comfort of working from your own home which is a big plus. All of the managers are great and make sure you have the tools you need to succeed. Sometimes it can be stressful because we are a marketing company so there are occasionally tight deadlines, problem solving, and also sometimes a bit of overtime to get your work done. You are required to work a bit on Saturdays but that it upfront when you apply so if you don't have the time to work Saturdays and hustle, this job might not be the best for you.

Cons

Cons is also working from home too. We used to have an office before COVID but I miss seeing everyone sometimes and having that sense of community.
