S2N provides a great environment for learning about all things med tech. The work here involves a lot of collaboration with team members and enables you to gain unique insight into business operations - both large and small. The employees at the company have a great understanding of how to build client relationships and provide them with strategic solutions to help grow their businesses. S2N works with a diverse set of clients, which keeps the job exciting. In my short time at the company, I was able to work on projects ranging from the development of a strategic global health initiative to market analysis for a surgical robotic startup. Their broad client base provided an opportunity for me to get to know a multitude of innovative medical technologies / products, while exploring different healthcare markets. The employees encourage rapid learning and provide excellent opportunities for professional growth. For example, I was provided multiple opportunities to meet with clients and attend conferences related to the medical device field. Another perk of working at S2N is the friendly, welcoming attitude all the employees have. Everyone at the company wants to make you feel an integral part of the team, which makes the work that much more rewarding.
Cons
The company is very small, which sometimes can lead to a fluctuating workflow and the feel that you haven’t received enough training - especially when you start. However, management is always willing to carve out one-on-one time to ensure that you have adequate knowledge of the tasks at hand. Also, some projects are more exciting than others, as is the nature of client-based business.
