Pros

This is the most transparent company I've ever worked at. Every other week there's a company meeting where the plans and future of the company are discussed. People are free to ask whatever questions they want and management will give honest answers - I've seen people ask questions about the financial stability of the company and get hard numbers thrown back at them. You won't be in the dark about any struggles the company might be going through, which is better than most gaming companies I've been at. Aside from that, the people there are very smart and very hard-working. They also are good with work/life balance; the office is almost empty by 7pm, although many choose to work from home after hours. They are also willing to let you work from home 1-2 days out of the week.

Cons

Questionable choices in how to proceed as a free-to-play business. Rough financial times for the company meant that management buckled down on short-term financial gain at the expense of long-term success. They also stopped listening to feedback from developers who voiced any concerns. Being critical of your own game and having good debate about the direction of the game is healthy, but most of the "dissenting" voices left the company. It seems they only want people who won't question anything nowadays. Rumble is full of talented people who are very serious about game development, to a fault in some cases. We've avoided hiring people in the past purely because they were too "enthusiastic". They seem to think that people who are extremely passionate about game development are somehow less professional. This shows in the games too; the devs are churning out content as quickly as they can, and that content doesn't feel like a lot of care was put into it, or made to feel special in any way. Rumble's ideals have also fallen by the wayside. I was originally enticed to work here because Rumble's goal was to make F2P games that appealed to core gamers. We promised never to do the things in our games that pissed off core gamers, like adding superficial gates to content, energy mechanics, etc., yet these practices were all eventually adopted. Lastly, the future of the company has been questionable for several months now; this has led to a lot of people either leaving or being laid off.
