Pros

Good people to work with and a real sense of camaraderie. Regular work hours and holidays off.

Cons

Management feels disconnected from the employees. Pay is not competitive with other companies for similar positions. Vacation and sick leave policy is stuck in the 80s; other benefits are lacking also. Mission statement and core values are not met at all nor is the any attempt to follow through on them. No room or opportunity for advancement - 'It's who you know' really fits this place. The bottom line feels more important than anything else.

Pros

This internship provides a great opportunity to learn about how a machining facility works. It also allows interns to learn what goes into valve design.

Cons

This internship was ten weeks long with about seven weeks strictly in the machine shop and quality control. Only the last few weeks focused on design work. It also only paid $12/hour.
