Pros

Been a ski guide here for 4 years. The place and crew are unlike any other. Been around the mountains all my life working in various industries and the Ruby's always feel like home. Safety and procedures as well as training is a priority that ownership values and makes sure all staff understand the importance and responsibility the team shares. Mutual respect is shown from ownership to staff and likewise from staff to ownership. Meeting many different people who travel here for a once in a lifetime trip and experience is a highlight, as is being part of a crew that trusts and works together with effort, communication and core values.

Cons

Ruby has been built on hard work, dedication and drive to make it work when people say it would never. Some people can't handle hard work and the dedication it takes to be part of this highly regarded team and operation.

Pros

Let’s start with the place. Middle of nowhere Nevada, the lodge sits on top of a mile long dirt road up up and away from the small town of Lamoille. Views are very dramatic from the lodge with the towering Ruby Mountains and vast Great Basin out of the 360 degree lodge views. There isn’t a view like the lodge anywhere. The business is top notch, run efficiently with care, determination, hands on hard work. People come from around the country & world to experience what Ruby is and to get taken care of the way the business does. The feeling of working here brings value to many and the business is a key part of the community and beyond.

Cons

You work a lot with the same people, there are bound to be internal issues like in any business. I have seen management handle issues within the team respectfully, calling meetings to clear the air and get everyone on the same page. Whenever there has been a conflict it has been handled professionally and the conflict has been resolved. There are good systems in place for problem solving at different levels.

Pros

As the Executive Chef at Ruby 360 Lodge, I can honestly say this place is something truly special. Every single day I’m surrounded by breathtaking views of the Ruby Mountains, It’s not just a beautiful place to work — it’s an experience that fills you with pride and purpose. The culture here is extraordinary. Our team feels more like a family than coworkers. Everyone — from the owners to the housekeeping staff — shares the same passion for creating an unforgettable guest experience. There’s a genuine sense of care, respect, and teamwork that flows through everything we do. The atmosphere in the lodge is warm, welcoming, and full of heart. Guests feel it the moment they walk in, and as a chef, I love being able to contribute to that energy through the food we serve. Every dinner is a reflection of the beauty that surrounds us — fresh, elevated, and crafted with love. Working at Ruby 360 Lodge . The owners set the tone by leading with kindness and excellence, and that’s exactly what makes this place so remarkable. It’s a rare and inspiring environment where everyone is encouraged to shine and take pride in what we do. This lodge isn’t just a destination — it’s a community built on passion, respect, and an unwavering commitment to greatness. I’m truly honored to be part of it.
