Pros

Royal Caribbean has an abundance of avenues and opportunities. There are 25 cruise ships to work on with a multitude of itineraries. The staff are very international and it's easy to find your niche. It is a great opportunity to travel while saving money and to learn about diversity and adaptability.

Cons

The food isn't the best for crew members. Royal Caribbean in particular has less of a hierarchy among staff members which is a positive, however you may be placed in certain corridors (cabin area) that mix job functions, therefore the hours may be disruptive.

Pros

The people - hardworking, honest and like family. The vision of the company - groundbreaking and innovative The benefits - cruise benefits for employees & friends and family Work from home Fridays Week off in December for the holidays Little Cruisers onsite daycare

Cons

Little to no flexibility in work hours. They preach a work life balance but then send out weekly "clock in/clock out" reports to supervisors, making a big deal if you are not logging your 8 hours in the office, but then do not take into account the afterhours that are being put in at home, sometimes on vacation and while traveling for work.
