Pros

The work is actually very easy and straightforward. All the same pros as working for a chain - regular pay etc. Was relatively easy to get in touch with higher management. Is a good company to progress up to higher management.

Cons

Organisation of the company is terrible. The pay is nowhere near as much as it should be. KPI’s were always irrelevant to the real problems within the company. The cocktail spec is unnecessarily long, leading in excess of stock creating problems for both staff and management. Staff should not be expected to learn over 40 cocktails by heart, especially at minimum wage. The gaming prices are ridiculously high. The curling lanes get paid more than the staff an hour. Training provided by head office is incorrect - managers should be trained by people that have worked FOH. Most of head office do not know how the bookings are structured on days of service. There was a lot of favouritism from management which ostracised a lot of staff consequently leading to the high staff turnover. Staff morale just kept getting worse due to high expectations set by management without any incentives.

Pros

Management was excellent, from the GM to the managers on shift. The venue was well-organised and one of the healthiest work environments I have ever worked at. The GM was genuinely excellent in both communicating with other staff as well as customers, if I could leave 10 stars I would.

Cons

No cons at all, best place i have worked.
