Awful Communication and Management - Junior Web Developer Roxoa Employee Review

Provided a good high-end MacBook & my choice of software for the role; very well-organised technologically/good systems management processes; my inputs and ideas for process management were always taken onboard; regular socials; fun office environment surrounded by sound and friendly people. I enjoyed my time there and was shown flexibility in the face of my unique situation that emerged during my tenure (pre-pandemic)! Good level of freedom in terms of dress code.

Sometimes a little overly strict and enforcing in terms of times of arrival into the office - as a public transport user this was not always in my hands and could get a bit unfair when a metro broke down! This is only a small thing to note, which did not greatly affect me during my time there. I would say this is all part of a "worker bee mentality" that is fostered and all part of the wider considerations of the management in running a solid, stable and efficient company.

The general ambience of Roxoa is one of progress and creative solutions. Everyone plays a vital role in advancing toward set targets, goals and ambitions. I worked alongside very talented and down to earth people who were exceptionally driven and pragmatic. The managers were affable; never placing unnecessary pressure and allowing for a great deal of autonomy as long as productivity requirements were respected. During breaks we had an array of activities available to engage in, and areas for quiet contemplation or respite were also one of the facilities at hand. During periods of exceptional abundance the managers did not hesitate in upgrading elements of the office space, providing luxury additions and offering bonuses. This creates fantastic incentive as everyone sees the tangible results of their work and efforts.
