Roundabout Marketing

Is this your company?

Do not apply to this job, it's a multi level marketing scheme. - Account Executive Roundabout Marketing Employee Review

Pros

Barely any pros, the only thing you can get out of this job is social skills.

Cons

Long hours, horrible pay, they literally pay for 30 DOLLARS a day plus commission. This is pretty much a glorified door to door sales job, you'll be outside 5 to 6 hours trying to get people to donate to different charities. If you don't get any sales, you'd be pretty much loosing money, so essentially you'll be begging for money on the street. Most of the money doesn't even go to the charities! If you drive they do not reimburse you for gas money, this is something even long time employees complain about. They lied about everything on the job description, please do not fall for this.

Pros

I actually wish I had a pro

Cons

This is a multi level marketing company. When you are first hired they are not transparent about what the job is at all. You go out everyday all over New Jersey to receive monthly donations to charities. This sounds great right? You’re helping people while getting paid! No. My job was to drive an hour everyday from the office in journal square to different grocery stores or Starbucks. We would say “Hey super quick have you heard of our charity?” To about a hundred people everyday 6 days a week. This wouldn’t be a problem if we actually got paid for the hours we put in. 150 dollars a week and 75 dollars for every 40 monthly donation acquired for the charity. The average was usually one donation a day sometimes two if you’re lucky. A few people in the office do really well with donations (because they lie to donors) most people do an average job and can’t afford to pay rent. I left this company finally because I morally wasn’t okay with recruiting more young desperate people and giving them no benefits or money for my own personal gain. Keep looking and do your research on pyramid schemes (multi level marketing) please!
