Pros

Very little. Basic benefits and not much to recommend.

Cons

Terrible company to work for. Salary is minimum and they expect you to do the work of 2 people. Lots of demands and pressure and no appreciation for their employees. Employees don't last.

Pros

Fort McMurray offices seem to be fairly well run, having not visited, I can't say for sure. Calgary office, if you can get on Person In Charge's good side, you're in. If not, well. Keep looking.

Cons

HR is badly run, the non-compete agreement (which is unusual for field employees anyway) says that employees can not work in Wood Buffalo for a year after they leave the company. Frankly, I don't think this would be enforceable, but the fact that they try to say that once you have left them you basically can't work in the oil sands for a year tells you a lot about the company.
