Pros

Although Rough Stone a small company in terms of employee size (under 50), they have some of the most impressive clients I've ever seen: Fortune 500, incredible innovative product companies, large healthcare organizations, education and financial institutes. They also have a team of the brightest engineers, QAs and architects. The founders are so passionate about the quality of the work that they deliver to clients, they are involved in nearly every step. Yes, they still love to code! It's that type of leadership that inspires the entire team.

Cons

Not a true con that exists. Our projects are complex and it's what makes our engineering team sought after consistently. We're able to take on projects that nearly every "consultant" company including some very big names, turn down.

Pros

Small company that makes huge impacts for its clients, often changing the dynamics of the markets they operate in. Every day there is a new challenge that needs to be tackled. The reward is in solving those challenges when others have failed. With a fairly flat structure interaction with management occurs on an almost daily basis. They are adept at their trade and strive to ensure the team performs to their standards.

Cons

With a small team there is nowhere to hide. Everyone is interdependent on others to keep projects moving. If you don't have the drive to be better then your peers it will be a challenge.

Pros

Small company, intimately work with management, challenging and rewarding, plenty of room for growth.

Cons

Small staff means sometimes it's hard to get what you need from them in a timely manner, depending on what you're working on.
