Pros

I am so proud of what my company is today and what they strive to be. I'm proud of my coworkers and the kind of people this company hires. I'm proud of how much this company challenges me and pushes me to be even better at my job than I thought I could be. This organization genuinely cares about its people. The company is transparent…they urge employees to give honest feedback on a coworker survey every 6 months, and then the CEO and COO share the feedback (even the criticism) in a town hall meeting. Not only do they own up to all of the things our company could do better for its employees, but then they announce exactly how they plan to improve and they give updates on how they're doing throughout the year. But the thing that makes me the most proud is Roth Staffing's commitment to doing good things for others. We are encouraged to help in our communities and we're given company hours to volunteer. We celebrate "remarkable experiences" companywide almost daily with stories that pop-up on our screens and I can read about what other branches are doing across the country to make life better for people. I am inspired at work every day. Staffing is a cool business. We get to help companies fill positions. We get to help professionals find great places to work. And out of all the firms in the staffing industry, the best company to work for is Roth Staffing Companies. They really get it. They know how much staffing can impact the lives of people and they help us focus on that.

Cons

No company is perfect, especially in staffing. In fact, I have heard some terrible horror stories about the experiences people have had at other staffing companies. I see complaints on this site about how much work is required at our company, how lean some of the teams run, or how the company doesn't quite live up to the core values it says it has. My answer to that is, yes, it's hard work, but the required daily work that other companies in staffing require is often much more challenging than the expectations at Roth Staffing. The activity we're expected to get done each week is definitely attainable. Also, our managers always remind us that the reason we need to achieve this daily/weekly activity is so that we have the opportunity to help more people - I appreciate the fact that we focus on the big picture and I see why my work is meaningful. Yes, our team is lean, but I know what the hiring trigger is and that we can grow and invest in our team each time we hit a trigger. And lastly, I would rather work for a company that articulates its core values and strives to live by those values each day, than to work at a company that doesn't even try to abide by a set of important philosophies. I think people have high expectations when they work at our company because we have the reputation for being "the best" but it's up to me to make it the best. People who come to our company and sit back expecting to be waited on will be disappointed. Everyone has to do their part. It doesn't work out for everyone. You really have to have a talent for sales, a passion for helping people, and you have to be aligned with our company's values - if you're not, you'll be unhappy. Those who are a good fit will stay with this company for life and they'll love it as much as I do.

Pros

There is a great culture and the team is always willing to work with one another. People are kind, hard working, easy to get along with.

Cons

Feeling stagnant even after voicing the desire to the next step. There’s no bonuses for experience coordinators, and no yearly increase.
