Pros

Decent salary if you're new in the workforce, enough to live modestly Interesting job

Cons

Awful corporate policies. Will find any excuse to not give you commission. You can work for them like a dog and the best they'll feel about you is neutral. There are two stores here in town, one of the managers is a snake in the grass, and the other one has no manager presently, and hasn't been functioning properly in almost two years, something's always breaking down in the protocol; you'll solve one problem and three more no one knew was there will pop up. Corporate won't help you no matter how desperately you need coverage. It's a slow, bureaucratic process that they failed to properly scale up as the business grew. They'll say one thing and mean another. The epitome of corporate two-faced management. If you can't or won't strong arm corporate in return they won't deal with you fairly.

Pros

Schedule remains about the same which is nice.

Cons

A lot, and it's gotten worse as time goes on. They're willing to fire people at the drop of a hat, reprimanding people for things that are normal mistakes or were misunderstood. I kid you not, their winter policy says that if an employee feels unsafe to travel, it's not an excusable absence! In addition, they have a phone policy stating families need to call the store phone and not their personal phone, which is not only incredibly inconvenient but also not going to happen. Stores are incredibly understaffed; you're expected to be a sales rep, a cashier, a security guard, and a janitor all at once for horrid pay. Someone on here said you get up to 50% off? WRONG, you get 15% off AFTER A YEAR OF WORKING THERE, and on "employee appreciation weekend," you get 40%... for a weekend, THAT'S IT. Aren't they supposed to appreciate you all the time? They care far more about the customer than the people keeping their stores afloat. You deal with prank calls, harassment, people that are constantly angry, and on top of that you have to deal with a management team that couldn't care less about you. You want time off? Forget it! You'll be lucky if they decide to even glance at your request, no matter how early you tell them. They TRULY do not care about you, find your job somewhere else.
