Pros

After a bit over five years, I’d say Rokt is a great place for highly adaptable people. Taking ownership, understanding the company/market dynamics, and being able to push through challenging periods are essential skills for success here. It’s demanding but genuinely rewarding for those who thrive in performance-driven environments. • Incredible growth trajectory - I’ve watched this company scale from 200 to 800 people, creating real advancement opportunities and the chance to grow alongside the business. The fact that we’re all shareholders makes the success feel personal. • Ahead of the curve - Rokt has been investing in ML and AI for over 12 years, staying obsessed with innovations that matter in the long run rather than chasing trends. • Prioritizes in-person connections - Whether it’s our Global Kickoff (GKO), inter-office travel opportunities, our 4-day office requirement, or marketing events, the company genuinely believes in the power of being together in person, which I really value.

Cons

• The ups and downs are real - Five years here has taught me that hypergrowth isn’t always smooth. You need resilience and the ability to level up your mindset through rough patches. • Performance culture can be intense - The high standards and fast pace definitely aren’t for everyone. Gaining company-wide visibility and impact can be particularly challenging when you’re not based at HQ. • Sink or swim mentality - The fast-paced environment creates constant pressure to deliver and adapt quickly. This is now on hyperdrive with mainstream AI adoption, and rapid growth sometimes means processes and systems struggle to keep pace with expansion.

Pros

Good work life balance, i work hard at work, and i'm able to learn an absurd amount really quickly, but the hours aren't too demanding

Cons

Slightly lower pay than market, and no bonus

Pros

The paycheck was on time. The infrastructure didn't get in my way technically.

Cons

•Ideas I brought up in meetings were routinely dismissed, only to see the exact same ideas approved weeks later when repeated by someone within the inner circle. •Meaningful projects consistently went to those already tied into the right connections, and it was clear capability had little to do with it. •Real mentorship and guidance existed, but it happened in closed conversations I was never part of, while others received constant support from senior engineers. •Key decisions were made in small informal groups, and I would only learn about them after everything had already been decided. •I was repeatedly assigned lower visibility infrastructure work while others were given opportunities to grow through impactful projects.
