Pros
I enjoyed the majority of my time here at rokrbox and liked the competitive atmosphere. I feel that I learned valuable social and communication skills while on the phone. Most of the co workers were very nice and fun to hang out with.
Cons
This one was hard for me as I feel like I had no issues with the company until I moved up into higher roles. The main issue is management tends to play favorites and let’s those people railroad everyone else. They advertise a fun culture but once you get to the root of it you can see how toxic it is. During meetings, it was constant arguments and anger. There is also a lot of drama and hostility between other middle management and the newer hires which caused a lot of issues. Nothing is every really done about it however, as the company will allow one or two people to essentially boss everyone else around even when they are not in charge or the same level. They make you feel like you have a voice until someone disagrees and then it is handled very poorly and immaturely. I think this goes along with mostly everyone being college students. A lot of the employees will be fast tracked into a position because they are liked and it does not feed into whether or not they would be good at the job. This causes a lot of control issues and immaturity in the leadership and it can be very exhausting to deal with. I felt like this job had lots of opportunities which I was very excited to move into, but very quickly I realized that the amount of stress and responsibility that came with it was not worth it as a full time student. This became the reason I left, along with the toxic culture created in leadership. If you are expecting to move up in the company, do not expect this to stay a part time job. Another issue that I had with this company was how easy it was to mess up… you constantly receive errors and it is very easy to get a write up. Some write ups are as simple as forgetting to sign off on a duty and considered “document forgery”. This did not sit well with me as some leadership will use their own perception in write ups and it is very inconsistent. It is disappointing that they will not readjust this as there have been many complaints in regards to the writing up. After three you are up for termination, however they will pick and choose with that as well. Overall, this job can work great for the lower level positions. There are many problems that need to be addressed and I hope they are able to come to terms with that eventually.
