Pros

Some of the customers are the only pro.

Cons

The company will give you the option of going where they want you to or you get your walking papers. I know someone who had his 3 mile trip to work turn into a 38 mile trip each way. Sales reps can be divas, though there are a couple good ones. Management feeds their egos. Everyone I knew at that job had something physically injured from working there. Bad knees, bad back, bad hip, etc. There are better options out there. If a company is willing to cut you loose because you dont want to move stores, then they dont value you as an employee. You are replaceable.

Pros

Company offers reliable products and brand reputation. Some managers (like Colleen and Jared) genuinely tried to help when concerns were raised.

Cons

Experienced repeated targeting and unprofessional behavior from coworkers. Despite several formal complaints to HR, little was done to address harassment or improve culture. Lack of accountability and unclear boundaries between coworkers led to unnecessary tension. No real protection for employees who speak up — issues often minimized or “discussed” without action. Pay was below the average, and no one in my department got a raise in 2025. I only requested $30/hr and then waited 6 months for that raise which never came. So I got another job that offered me above that pay. (I only requested $30 because another AP person in my department was already making that much and they were also salary, so I thought it would only be fair to ask for equal pay, especially since I had more experience with Rodda Paint and preformed more duties than the other person.) Company didn't offer me 401k matching, bonuses, or profit sharing. The low hourly pay I got doesn't show any appreciation from the company for the effort I put in. I was a great team player and helped the company manage their workload, especially when the workload increased significantly when they purchased Miller Paint and all of their accounting rolled over into our department.
