Secure work - Corrections Officer Rockingham County, NH Employee Review

My favorite job I have ever held! I have tons of autonomy, and management is always ensuring you have opportunities for education/networking/conferences/career progression. I've worked for another county employer before, and in comparison, Rockingham tends to be very progressive and open for new ideas/innovations. Lots of paid time off, low cost benefits, pension plan, etc. Overall great place to work!

All positions are on-site only, but can be good if you enjoy the comradery and are a people person.

Find a better department to work for.

They treat their employees like crap.. they are stuck in their old fashion mindset of hurting inmates brutally, they hire on criminals as officers who have done time in prison. They joke with the inmates about sucidie, they constantly allow cursing and degrading between staff members.
